Scripture Reference: 1 Corinthians 15:1-11
Main Idea: A maturing church stands firm in the gospel of the risen Christ.
Main Points:
The Gospel Paul received
- Christ died for our sins
3 Ways Jesus became our substitute
- He bore our sin for us, so we can live in righteousness
- He experienced death for us so we can live with Him
- He became sin for us, so we can have His righteousness
- In accordance with the Scriptures
- That he was buried on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures
3 Questions to Consider:
Do you know the gospel?
Have you received the gospel?
Are you standing in the gospel?
Podcast Questions:
It was described how there is vain belief in Scripture (i.e. the shallow soil). Is this belief sincere or insincere? If sincere, how does it become vain (why does regeneration not occur)? If insincere, why is it called belief (e.g. Simon the sorcerer)? Is this what is described in Hebrews 6:4-9?
