Sing praise to God who walks with us on all our journeys! Even though we fall, God lifts us and places us on paths of peace. Even though we stray, God finds us and brings us back to lives of hope. Thanks be to God, whose love is continually with us. Praise be to God, whose mercy is over us all. AMEN. *Opening Song Black Hymnal #2269 “Come Share the Lord” Children’s Moment Rev. Daniel Cardenas Community Prayer God of surprises, break through the life of Grace Church and its people. Reveal to us new ways we can be faithful and fruitful, moving into the future You have in store. Creator God, Sustainer of us all, we confess we have not loved you with all our hearts. There are times when we give way to greed, jealousy, arrogance, and power that cause harm to others, and often we don't realize the impact of our actions. Help us be humble, kind, forgiving and accepting of those in our midst who are different from us. The world is consumed by division and hatred. We pray for peace, reconciliation, and new eyes for seeing clearly and compassionately. This is the way of Jesus. This is the way of love. Amen. Offering and Offertory Music Charis Weible, soloist “Make Me a Channel of Your Peace” Jane Holstein, arranger *Song of Praise Praise God from whom all blessings flow. Praise Christ, all people here below. Praise Holy Spirit evermore. Praise Triune God, whom we adore. Amen. Pastoral Prayer Rev. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, forever and ever.
