Your testimony is simply the story of what Jesus has done for you. Psalm 40:1-3 (ESV): I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. Many believers struggle to tell their story (or testimony) because it we often believe the lie that our story is not that important. Every believer has been rescued from darkness, brought into Christ’s kingdom, redeemed, and forgiven. Your testimony does not need to be dramatic to be powerful. It can be as simple as who you were before trusting Jesus, how you came to follow Him, and what He is doing in your life now. When you share honestly, you are not drawing attention to yourself; you are pointing to the grace and power of your Savior. What is one clear way Jesus has changed your life that you could share with someone else? Prayer Prompt: Jesus, thank You for rescuing and forgiving me; give me courage to share what You have done.
