Sermons / The Foundation For Jesus: Part One

The Bible is not a collection of random stories, but one unified story that is all about Jesus. From the first words in Genesis to the end of Revelation, every part of the Bible points to Him. Last time we saw our need for Jesus as we looked at Genesis 1-11. From the Fall to the Flood, man is in desperate need of a savior. But how does God plan to fix the problem? Today God begins to lay the foundation of the rescue plan by calling one man, Abraham, from a far-off country and promising that through his family God was going to bless all of the nations of the world. As we walk through Abraham’s story we will learn that God always keeps his promises, even when it takes longer than we would like.
