Can You Believe in Your House? Faith When You Can’t See (Matthew 9)
The speaker teaches from Matthew 9:27–31, where two unnamed blind men cry, “Son of David, have mercy on us,” follow Jesus into a house, and are healed after Jesus asks, “Do you believe I can make you see?” He emphasizes that many believe God can do miracles in general but struggle to trust Him with personal, specific needs, and that long-term pain can reduce a person’s identity to their limitation. He highlights faith as continuing to follow Jesus even when the picture is dark, often guided by the worship and testimony of others, and notes the men’s shared cry for mercy as a model for unity and an “us” mentality in the church. The message culminates in a call to invite Jesus into one’s home, illustrated during baptisms and prayer for families and houses.
